New Harbour Distillery in Woodstock, Cape Town, recently released their super sexy Protea Gin. Now let’s all just take a moment here and admire that knockout bottle.

Ooo yes, it’s a thing of beauty, right? Clean and modern with bends at all the right places, while still keeping it earthy and authentic. This exceptional 100% biodegradable bottle was made by local potter Jade Snell Ceramics.
Husband and wife team, Nic and Andri, who established themselves as young passionate craft gin pioneers in Woodstock in 2016, unveiled their latest creation on social media a few days ago, aptly named Protea Gin.
Protea Gin is produced by first sourcing the best neutral grain spirit and then rectifying it at the distillery with a unique copper catalysation process to ensure ultimate smoothness. Nectar from individual Suikerbossie Protea’s are harvested by hand and add to a 13 botanical infusion. Only 200 bottles were distilled and retail directly from the distillery for R1200 per 500ml bottle.
