After an intense week of challenges seasoned professional, Travis Kuhn, shaked-off the competition to be crowned Diageo’s #WorldClass2018 Bartender of the Year in South Africa. Kuhn will be representing South Africa at the global finals on the 31st of August in Berlin, Germany.
The announcement was made at a gala dinner held at the spectacular Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art and attended by the who’s who of South Africa’s cocktail industry.
The always cool and collective Capetonian, who is no stranger to cocktail competitions, competed against 15 regional finalists in a variety of challenges spread over the course of the week. These included everything from a fun room service cocktail creation to the more technically masterclass sessions.
