Let’s taco about Taco Day.

In the last couple of years this little Mexican bite exploded in popularity around the globe.  Mostly thanks to the Asian and Mexican fusion food revolution that took place on the west coast of the US,  Americans now consume around 4.5 billion tacos a year. And they’re not alone. With the help of the global food truck and craft beer movement the humble taco is now seen as the ultimate street snack.

The history of the taco is a bit unclear, but anthropological evidence shows the native people living in the lake region of the Valley of Mexico traditionally ate tacos filled with small fish. Today it’s filled with everything you can imagine.
