We’ve conducted a recent poll on facebook to determent South Africa’s most respected wine judges. Here they are:
Dave HughesThis South Africa’s wine legend received 31% of the votes. Dave, with a mountain of experience, collected hundreds of accolades over the year, including unheard of stuff like The Freedom to the City of London. His presence and palate will always demand the highest respect.
Christian EedesOne of the most prolific wine taster in the country, Christian Eedes, stacked-up 21% of the votes. Judging on almost every wine competition (except the Box Wine Awards), Christian is currently one of South Africa’s most influential and respected wine personalities.
Michael Fridjhon
With extensive international experience and pioneering commercial tasting shows in South Africa, Michael received 17% of the votes.
Miguel Chan, James Pietersen and Neil Pendock all received 7% of the votes with Cathy van Zyl, Christine Rudman and Angela Lloyd 3% each.
