At the very bottom of the African continent, tucked away in the seaside suburb of Sea Point, Cape Town, South Africa, you will find Call-A-Pizza. The name might suggest a corporate mega food conglomerate, but this little pizza shop is the furtherest thing from it.

Opened in 1987 as the first ever pizza delivery service in South Africa, it quickly became a Sea Point institution. In 1998 current owners, Ricky and Yolanda, took over the business and turned it into one of the world’s most unique little pizza shops. Their love for psytrance music rubbed off on everything, from the crazy but delicious menu items to the décor.

Since then you can expect personal attention from the owners, who ensure that all pizzas are freshly made with love, fresh ingredients and generous portions. And by generous we mean fucking ridiculously generous portions!

Here’s some of their pizza menu items. Try reading it in one breath!

With gentrification on every hipsterless lip these days, it’s essential to support local gems like these, before your city turns into a bland factory of processed food.
